A type of ball valve specifically designed to handle extremely low temperatures, typically used in applications involving liquefied gases such as LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). 
Cryogenic ball valves are typically made from materials that can withstand low temperatures down to -196ºC, such as stainless steel or nickel alloys. These materials maintain their strength and ductility even at cryogenic temperatures. A key feature of cryogenic ball valves is the extended bonnet design, which positions the stem seals further away from the cold fluid to reduce the risk of frost formation and ensure reliable operation. Advanced sealing materials and technologies are used to ensure tight sealing at very low temperatures, preventing leaks and ensuring safety.

Ball valves, both full and reduced bore, are used in various industries such as chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas processing due to their durability and ability to handle high pressures. Valves on/off  quarter turn (90 degrees). Ball valves provide a good seal and offer high quality and reliability. They can also be fitted with actuators for automated control in complex systems. They are produced in different materials like stainless steel and carbon steel as standard, but it is also possible to produce them in exotic materials like duplex, super duplex, Inconel, Al-BR or 904L.
